Every little boy or girl wants to be just like their parents. When they see their mom or dad cleaning up or doing chores around the house, they quickly learn how to mimic the motions and want to help get things done. At least, that's what we found with our kids.

Our twins became obsessed with vacuuming after we rearranged the living room. As part of the new set-up in the room, we vacuumed way more than we normally would–multiple times daily for probably a week straight–after seeing how much dust came up with our new Dyson.

I guess all of the practice over those few days helped the ritual of cleaning become a habit for them, in a way, which I am okay with. Might as well embrace their love of cleaning if they want to do it.

They loved vacuuming so much that after dinner or their naps, they'd run from the kitchen or their bedroom to go and grab the Dyson, so we could get cleaning.

We don't frequently buy, or ask for, two of every toy because, as you're likely familiar with, kids come with LOTS of stuff, and having doubles of everything gets expensive fast and takes up twice as much space.

They get used every day, sometimes three or four times in an afternoon.

But for these bad boys (the toys, not the toddlers), we made an exception because we knew they'd be in hot demand, and they are. They get used every day, sometimes three or four times in an afternoon.

The twins were so thrilled to each get their very own Dyson. They make a relatively quiet humming sound when in use, which is a nice change from the often too-loud and grating din of other toys.

Our toddlers love switching out the different attachment ends from the brush bar to the crevice tool, and because there's no cord, you don't have to worry about anybody tripping while operating their toy.

Plus, the colorful foam bits in the dust bin mimic the dirt, dust, and debris you'd see in the actual vacuum, so it looks like the real deal, which is a nice bonus.

And when our twins are done playing, they even take their machines over to the garbage to empty their bin, like they've seen mom and dad do. It's so cute. They're such good, little helpers.

Sometimes, one twin will start cleaning with their Dyson, and then the other one gets so excited that they run over, so they can use it, too.

In those moments, I'm so happy we chose to ask for two of these toys because when we've been seconds away from a serious squabble, we've been able to redirect them to the second vacuum.

Then, instead of fighting over who gets to use the toy, they each happily do their housework, which means that we can also get housework done at the same time, and that definitely makes me happy.
