When we found out we were expecting twins, we received a barrage of bibs, as I'm sure many soon-to-be parents also have. We had quite an array in our arsenal, from your everyday (many times a day) absorbent bandana drool bibs, to your lightweight, machine-washable feeding bibs, to your heavy-duty, up-to-the-task silicone mealtime bibs.
While we had three different styles of bibs available specifically for feeding solids, one quickly became the front-runner for every meal: The PandaEar Silicone Baby Bib. These bibs knocked it out of the park in every category a parent would want.
1. They're durable yet soft
They're made of a smooth but resilient silicone that is soft on your baby's delicate skin.
2. They're easy to use
They're a breeze to put on and adjust to your baby's neck size. And the fasteners have a gentle grip that your baby can't rip off juuuuuust as you're about to bring their food over.
3. They're quick to clean
They're easy to wipe down after your twins are finished munching on their morning meal, dabbling with their divine dinner, or experimenting with how gravity works by launching little elements of their lunch onto the floor.
4. They actually prevent messes
They have a built-in trough to catch any fumbled food and–this part is really important–this area of the bib is thoughtfully designed to actually sit open, always, instead of falling flat against your baby's belly and letting all of the extraneous food bits fall into your baby's lap and staining the cute outfit you spent precious time getting them into just before their meal. This problem was a constant frustration with other bibs that had food catchers that weren't as well-executed when manufactured.
5. They can be color-coded to each twin
They come in a multi-pack with different colors, so you can color-code them to your twins. This is especially handy if you have identical twins and wish to be able to tell them apart when you look back at old photos. You might tell yourself you'll ALWAYS be able to tell them apart, but a decade or two down the road, you may look back at a picture taken from an odd angle and not be totally sure who you're looking at. Using a specific color for each twin's bib will make sure you always know.
They're Our Go-To
Even though we have a drawer in our kitchen filled with nearly a dozen different feeding bibs, these specific ones by PandaEar are the only ones we use for every single meal. They're the only mealtime bibs you'll ever need for your babies.
PandaEar Silicone Baby Bibs
These bibs are easy to wipe, have a trough to catch any dropped food, and come in different colours for easy deciphering between twins.
