For better or worse, tech continues to advance into more and more things that never used to be "smart." And while you may not have had "smart crib" on your futuristic BINGO card, it sure makes a lot of sense when you see it done well in-person.
Leveraging cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI), the new Revol Crib from Bosch enhances baby care by monitoring a newborn's vital signs, like heart rate and respiratory rate, and can even recognize signs of illness such as jaundice.
Lauded for its innovative design, the Consumer Technology Association, which organizes the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada, has designated this intelligent crib a CES Innovation Award Honoree.
And we can see why. When the first five or six months with your newborn twins brings complete and utter exhaustion (and all the new-baby bliss!), a crib like this one can bring a sense of ease and some extra sleep for everyone involved.
Comprehensive care

Multi-modal sensors, including a camera, microphone, radar, and AI technology, work in conjunction with the latest generative AI technology to provide parents with comprehensive health trend data, sleep analysis, and cry recognition to improve physical development.
You may be wondering what happens to the data that this intelligent crib collects. Users can decide if the data the crib records is stored in an encrypted form on Bosch servers or if it remains offline and within the confines of the four walls of their home.
Safety notifications
The software is able to alert a parent if something (like a lovey or blankie) is covering your baby's airway, so you can make any necessary adjustments as soon as an issue is detected.
And in case you were worried about your baby being uncomfortable overnight, rest assured that this crib can let you know if your baby has loaded its drawers, so you don't have to drag out diaper duty.
If your baby seems to be having a tough time falling asleep, the Revol Crib can automatically initiate a gentle rocking mode to lull your little one to sleep.
Making life easier

At CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada earlier this month, a spokesperson for Bosch stressed that intelligent software and digital services have become cornerstones of their core business.
We're looking forward to finding out more about this intelligent crib and how its innovative technology can benefit parents and their newborn babies during their early days together.
